This week Town Staff cordoned off an area within Town Park following an assessment that the current condition of trees poses a risk to park users.
A Certified Arborist recently concluded that the condition of these trees presents a moderate failure risk and therefore presents a potential risk to users of this portion of the park. The Certified Arborist recommends the removal of these trees, which the Town will do in mid- to late July.
The Town is committed to planting new trees in this area to mitigate the losses and will be obtaining the services of a qualified landscape designer to prepare a draft planting plan in the coming months.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,
Town of Corte Madera
