We need your feedback, residents of Christmas Tree Hill!

Tonight, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 7pm, Corte Madera Planning Staff will hold a public workshop for residents of the Christmas Tree Hill (CTH) neighborhood to review and discuss possible changes to the Design Review regulations for residential projects within the CTH neighborhood.

Town Staff and the Planning Commission are in the process of reviewing and updating the Town’s Design Review regulations to improve their clarity and user-friendliness to ensure that the regulations are effectively implemented by staff and understood by residents. Additionally, the specific Design Review regulations pertaining to the CTH neighborhood, such as thresholds and findings, are undergoing a review to discuss aligning them with those of other similarly zoned residential parcels in Town. The threshold for Design Review within the CTH neighborhood requires Design Review for additions of more than 100 square feet, but in other residential neighborhoods in Town, Design Review is required for additions of 250 square feet or more.

Engaging the residents of the CTH neighborhood in this review process is crucial for gathering input, addressing concerns, and ensuring that any proposed changes or updates to the regulations reflect the needs and aspirations of the community. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to staff related to potential changes to Design Review regulations. The feedback received at the workshop will be taken into consideration in preparation of a zoning ordinance amendment application. There will be additional meetings in the coming months at the Planning Commission and Town Council. No formal action is being taken at this workshop.

How to attend, participate and provide comment at the Thursday June 22, 2023 Neighborhood workshop:

The workshop will be held in person at 240 Tamal Vista Blvd., Suite 108, with an option for remote participation via Zoomhttps://us06web.zoom.us/j/83880317517?pwd=d2pSOUY5MzJBaFdjYk9wMjc2NVo2UT09
