 Application for Appointment

Completed applications may be sent via email to rvaughn@tcmmail.org or dropped off at/mailed to Town Hall (Temporarily located at 240 Tamal Vista Blvd., Suite 110, Corte Madera, CA 94925). Please note that submittal of an application does not guarantee an interview. We encourage applicants to provide as much information about themselves as possible.

What to Expect After You Submit an Application / Anticipated Interview Dates
If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified the week after the application period closes. Interviews are conducted by the full Town Council at a special meeting prior to a Town Council meeting on either the first or third Tuesday of the month.

Interviews are currently tentatively scheduled between 4 and 6pm (tentative time frame, dependent on number of applications received) for the following Tuesdays: May 2, May 16, June 6, and June 20.  Please hold these dates on your calendar, until it is determined which Board/Commission/Committee's interviews will take place on each date, and please note that you will have the opportunity to interview in person or via zoom, if needed.

 The Interview Process
Each member of the Town Council will ask one question related to the board or commission that you are applying for. You will receive questions in advance in order to assist with your preparation process. This is your opportunity to express your interest to the Town Council, and applicants are encouraged to research past agenda packets, watch recorded meetings, read minutes of past meetings, etc. All information related to each of the Town's Boards, Commissions and Committees can be found on the Town's website.

Following interviews, the Town Council will make appointments following their deliberations. If you do not stay for the entire meeting, you will receive a call and/or email the following day to let you know the results of the interview.

Information for New Appointees
Each board, commission or committee has a Town staff liaison who will help you prepare for your first meeting and your onboarding process. You will need to come the Town Clerk's office to be sworn-in prior to your first meeting., You will also be informed of any additional onboarding requirements, such as filing an annual Conflict of Interest Form 700, or completing Ethics Training.  You can contact the Town Clerk at 415-927-5085 with any questions regarding this process.
