Please remember to conserve energy, natural gas, and water to save money and help protect our natural resources by following the tips in the attached image or visiting the Flex Alert website. During a Flex Alert, energy conservation is critical to reduce stress on the grid and prevent a rolling outage.
NOTICE THAT THE TIME HAS CHANGED. The past few days it was suggested to conserve energy before 4pm but today they are asking to start earlier and end later (3pm to 10pm).

ROTATING OUTAGES
A rotating outage is an electric power outage that rotates from area to area, so no single neighborhood is down for very long. It’s designed to reduce demand and maintain power grid reliability. Brief outages protect against longer and larger outages. The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) decides when rotating outages are necessary to reduce demand on the power grid. Pacific Gas and Electric Company reports that outages are preventable. The more power we all save, the less likely power outages are.
You can find out if you are affected. Check to find your block and the possible rotating hour by visiting the PG&E website here.
