Planning Commission Set to Review Town Design Guidelines- Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 at 7pm

Design Review is the discretionary activity that governs the aesthetics and function of development in the Town of Corte Madera.  The Design Review process administered by staff and the Planning Commission helps to ensure that new development or significant alterations meet the development standards established by the Town code such as building size, height and location as well as overseeing that development is done in a way that is consistent with the community’s desires as expressed in the General Plan.  Design Review also helps to facilitate thoughtful planning and design that is in reasonable balance with the context in which the project is proposed, particularly with respect to the surrounding neighbors or larger community that may be impacted.

At the next Planning Commission Meeting, September 13th, 7pm, the Commission will hold a workshop to review and discuss current Design Review policies, clarify existing regulations, and consider possible changes to the structure and organization of the Design Review section of the Town’s Municipal Code.  All are welcome to attend this first of perhaps several informational workshops. For information on how to attend or remotely access the meeting, please visit https://www.townofcortemadera.org/908/Access-Public-Meetings.

If you have any questions about this workshop please contact the Planning Department at 415-927-5064 or email Phil Boyle, Senior Planner at pboyle@tcmmail.org and Tracy Hegarty, Assistant Planner at thegarty@tcmmail.org
