[ARCHIVED] Short Term Vacation Rental Survey Open- We Need Your Input!!!

Newsflash Template (41)

A short-term rental (STR) is when a bedroom or an entire dwelling is rented for less than 30 days. Short-term rentals are currently not allowed under Corte Madera’s zoning regulations, but enforcement is complaint-based. A number of other Marin jurisdictions also ban short-term rentals, while others, such as Mill Valley, Novato and San Rafael, have adopted regulations, a registration process and collect transient occupancy tax.

Your feedback will help the Town Council determine if the Town should consider allowing and regulating Short Term Vacation Rentals. Please help us collect information on policy choices related to short-term rentals in residential dwellings (e.g., Air BnB, Vrbo, etc.).

The Town recognizes the importance of engaging the community and seeking input on policy choices that effect community members.  In addition to distributing this survey on-line through our newsletter, website, and social media platforms, our community members should have also received a postcard in the US Mail soliciting input on this topic.

Please access the survey by using the survey link here, or by scanning the QR Code below.  The survey should take no more than five minutes to complete. The survey on Short Term Vacation Rentals will be open through August 31, 2022.  Please provide your input and help shape policy decisions in Town.
