[ARCHIVED] 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Project to Begin

Newsflash Template (35)

The 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Project is upon us and the Town's contractor began mobilization on July 21, 2022. Initially, our contractor will begin marking alignment for saw-cutting for the Lakeside Pump Station Force Main extension on Tamalpais Drive, from Sausalito Street to Lakeside Drive.

  • During the week of July 25th through July 29th, our contractor will begin pavement saw cutting for the trench, but also initiate trench excavation near the intersection of Tamalpais Drive and Meadowsweet Drive.
  • During the week of August 1st through August 5th, our contractor will begin trench excavating for the placement of the new Lakeside Pump Station Force Main on Tamalpais Drive.

The project goal is to replace outdated sewer mains and manholes, reduce inflow and infiltration, and to continue to improve the overall function of the Sanitary District No. 2 collection system.

Contractors will be closing a portion of the #1 lane (fast lane of traffic/closest to center divide) and performing traffic control in the area to not only provide safe vehicular access as well as a safe working environment for our contractors.  Our contractor will be providing notice to effected residences by placing door hangers on the font doors of residences prior to the commencement of work in each area/street. The initial segment of 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Project does involve an evening/after hours component, however, those evenings have not been identified as of yet.
