The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on April 26, 2022 at 7:00 pm for the consideration of a proposed ordinance amendment related to the Town’s existing inclusionary housing policies. Inclusionary housing, also known as inclusionary zoning, refers to the range of policies and practices that mandate or provide incentives for the inclusion of affordable housing units in new residential developments. Inclusionary zoning is a tool that cities and counties can use to increase the supply and funding for affordable housing within their communities.
The ordinance amendment includes a variety of changes to the Town’s existing inclusionary requirements. The Planning Commission will consider the draft ordinance amendments at their April 26th meeting, and may provide a recommendation to the Town Council.
