[ARCHIVED] Get your free evacuation tags from CMPA

CMPA Evacuation Tag

In an evacuation emergency, every second counts and time can save lives.  Using evacuation tags is a new tool to help us quickly identify which homes and buildings have been evacuated. Residents and business owners use the tag when they evacuate and tie it in a location that is clearly visible from the street, so that first responders can see it from their vehicle.  It should be tied on a mail box, gate, fence, or front door that faces the street.  This will save valuable time and allow emergency personnel to immediately move on to check the next place.  Central Marin Police, with our partners at the Central Marin and Ross Valley Fire Departments, are providing free evacuation tags to our communities.  Every household and business should have an evacuation tag.

Starting Friday 6/18 evacuation tags will be available at the following locations:

Corte Madera:

  • Central Marin Fire Station #13: 5600 Paradise Drive
  • Central Marin Fire Station #14: 342 Tamalpais Drive
