In 2019, Town Council authorized staff to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the installation of LED streetlights. In efforts, to streamline the implementation process, staff is proposing to proceed with a Facility Financing Contract per Government Code, Chapter 3.2, Sections 4217.10 to 4217.18, which require a public notice be given at least two weeks in advance of the public hearing, where the Town Council will the governing body may determine that this Facility Financing Contract is in the best interest of the public agency, in lieu of formal bidding procedures.
The proposed Facility Financing Contract with Tanko Streetlighting, Inc. is in the amount of $260,519.61 and includes the design and construction of town wide light emitting diode (LED) retrofits of existing streetlight fixtures; and includes a 15% project contingency in the amount of $39,077.94, for a total not to exceed amount of $299,597.55.
All persons interested in the foregoing are invited to appear before the Corte Madera Town Council at the time, day and place mentioned below. If you challenge this project in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this NOTICE, or in written correspondence delivered to the Town of Corte Madera at, or prior to, the public hearing. All written responses will become part of the public record.
