The Town of Corte Madera continues to collaborate with nine other Marin County jurisdictions on the development of Objective Design and Development Standards. This effort will result in a toolkit of standards that, when adopted, does not require interpretation and provides a clear review and approval process for multi-family and mixed-use projects in Corte Madera. This allows the Town to specify the design aesthetics of development that address topics such as architectural style while accommodating current and future legislation requirements.
The Town formed a Technical Advisory Working Group comprised of six community members to assist with the development of the Objective Design & Development Standards. The working group has met several times over the past year. The working group’s role is to provide feedback, review reports and other documents, provide collective comments representative of the group, and make recommendations on implementation of the Objective Design & Development Standards in Corte Madera.
The Technical Advisory Working Group will be meeting on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm to discuss and provide feedback on the draft toolkit. The meeting will include a presentation by the project consultant (Opticos) and an opportunity for questions. Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting to learn more about the project and to provide comments on the draft toolkit.
