Are you Street Smart?
The Town of Corte Madera is participating in STREET SMARTS MARIN - an educational campaign to promote safe driving, biking, and walking here in Marin County. Look for the Street Smarts banners from August through November. Additionally, a limited number of lawn signs are available to citizens on a first-come-first-serve basis.

STREET SMARTS MARIN is a traffic safety program that educates drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists about safety issues in order to encourage positive behavior change. Street Smarts is designed to make Marin’s streets safer and friendlier and to reduce the number of traffic-related accidents.
STREET SMARTS is focused on:
* Speeding
* Stopping (running red lights and stop signs)
* Distracted driving
* Crosswalk safety and compliance
* Bicyclist violations and bicyclist safety
Street Smarts' goal is to encourage people to adopt new attitudes and behaviors that will make our streets safer and friendlier for everyone who uses them. It's just another way we can respect the community in which we live!
