NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Corte Madera Planning Commission will hold a second Study Session on the Town Hall Remodel and Addition project on June 23, 2020 via video conference. More information on how to access the meeting is provided at the bottom of this notice. This Study Session will focus on responses to the comments received by members of the public and the Planning Commission at the first Study Session, held on April 28, 2020, where the preliminary project design was presented. Modifications to the preliminary project design include changes to roof forms, building height, window placement and exterior materials, among others. Staff will be seeking confirmation from the Planning Commission that the proposed changes adequately respond to comments and direction. New project plans and images will be posted to the Town Hall Project Webpage (https://www.townofcortemadera.org/867/Town-Hall-Project) with the staff report for the Study Session by June 19, 2020.
The proposed Town Hall Remodel and Addition Project consists of remodeling the existing Town Hall building and constructing a new ~7,600 square foot addition approximately 90 feet east into the adjacent parking lot. The project would include new Town Council chambers, public permitting center, outdoor public plaza, interior lobby, and new offices for Administration, Finance, Public Works, and Planning and Building Departments, within a fully ADA and Building Code compliant facility. When completed, the project is intended to create a more resilient, functional, and inviting community asset that will serve the Town for the next 100 years. Please see below for a project rendering. For additional information about prior public meetings and workshops, staff reports, presentation materials, and information regarding moving the project design forward in the wake of COVID-19, please access the Town Hall Project Webpage here: https://www.townofcortemadera.org/867/Town-Hall-Project.
No formal actions will be taken by the Planning Commission at the June 23, 2020 Study Session. Planning Commission comments are intended to serve as guidance only, based on information available at this time and do not substitute for future public hearings by the Planning Commission that will be required to approve this project.
