[ARCHIVED] Notice of Discussion and Possible Approval of Location For A Dog Park

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, the Corte Madera Town Council will discuss and consider approval of location for a dog park in Corte Madera

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the October 1, 2019 Town Council meeting, the Corte Madera Town Council will review the recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Commission regarding  the final proposed location for a dog park and associated amenities in Town Park, adjacent to the rear of Park Madera Center, which is located at 510 Tamalpais Drive. The Town has budgeted $50,000 for the project, which will focus on fencing and some minor amenities, such as a water fountain, benches, ADA accessibility and improved pathway access from the park, as well as from the Park Madera Center parking lot.


Temporary fencing denoting the proposed dog park perimeter has been installed at the location under consideration, as indicated in the photos and map, below. The community is encouraged to visit the site and provide any comments and feedback to the Town Council in advance of the meeting. Comments can be provided to the Corte Madera Town Clerk via email to rvaughn@tcmmail.org, by mail to 300 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera CA 94925, by calling (415) 927-5050, or in person during public comment when the item is heard at the October 1, 2019 Town Council meeting. 


All persons interested in the foregoing are invited to appear before the Corte Madera Town Council at the time, day and place mentioned above. A staff report related to this item will be available on or before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019, and may be obtained from the Town Clerk, Corte Madera Town Hall, 300 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera or via the Town’s website.
