SUBJECT: TO REVIEW THE FIRST DRAFT OF THE TOWN OF CORTE MADERA’S 2015-2023 HOUSING ELEMENT AND CONSIDER REFERRAL OF THE DRAFT TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (HCD) WITH RECOMMENDED REVISIONS, IF APPLICABLE.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 7:30pm at Corte Madera Town Hall, the Corte Madera Town Council will hold a public meeting to hear a staff presentation o n the 2015-2023 Draft Housing Element, ask questions, recommend possible revisions, and consider forwarding the draft on to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
This public meeting will provide an opportunity to ask questions and better understand the content of the draft document, the 2015-2023 Housing Element process, the overall timeline, and provide comments and input on the draft itself. An additional meeting before the Town Council is tentatively scheduled for February 17th, 2015, and would provide similar opportunity for public involvement and input.
The first draft of the 2015-2023 Housing Element is available on the Town of Corte Madera website at the following web address: www.townofcortemadera.org/183/Housing-Element-Update-2015---2023. In addition, I encourage you to read the Planning Department’s introductory letter that can be accessed through the same link above. A limited number of “hard” copies of both documents are available upon request. Requests can be made by calling (415) 927-5064, sending an email to plcounter@tcmmail.org, or visiting the Planning Department offices at 300 Tamalpais Drive, lower level, during public hours: 8:00am – 11:30am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm Monday through Thursday.
