[ARCHIVED] Town Council Public Meeting 12/4/18: Cannabis Ordinance

Town of Corte Madera Town Council Public Meeting Regarding a Cannabis Ordinance for the Town of Corte Madera

Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 6:30pm

Council Chambers, 300 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera, California

The Corte Madera Town Council is holding a public meeting to discuss the development of a cannabis ordinance for the Town of Corte Madera.  Staff will present background information regarding California cannabis regulations, the status of Corte Madera’s moratorium on cannabis related businesses and existing and developing cannabis ordinances within Marin County.  Staff will also provide a summary of the two public workshops that were held in September, the Planning Commission public meeting that was held in October, and responses to the Town’s public opinion survey.

Staff is seeking direction from Town Council regarding topics to be addressed in the ordinance.  The intent of the ordinance is to establish the Town’s policies for cannabis related activities, including but not limited to policies related to cannabis businesses, which are currently prohibited, indoor and outdoor cultivation, medicinal and non-medicinal deliveries.

If you have any questions regarding this meeting, please call the Town of Corte Madera Planning Department at 415-927-5067 or email Senior Planner Phil Boyle at
