[ARCHIVED] Drift Smoke from Butte County Fire is Impacting Marin County

The following message is forwarded from Marin Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1775:

Marin Residents:

There is a large fire burning in Butte County, CA near the Town of Paradise. (18,000+ Acres). There is a large amount of Drift Smoke pushing across the Bay Area due to the North-East (hot, dry) winds Please do Not call 9-1-1 unless you see Fire/Flames, a new column of smoke, or are experiencing health issues as a result of the air quality.

Local conditions in Marin include a Red Flag Warning and Local Firefighters are heading to assist.


Please stay safe, be prepared, and follow directions if we have any local events.
