WINTER STORM ADVISORY
The National Weather Sevice is predicting a series of two storms with heavy precipitation and high winds that will move into the Bay Area starting the evening of Thursday, February 5 and continuing through Sunday February 8, 2015, before dry weather returns early next week.
The storm is anticipated to come in two waves with the first wave this afternoon through Friday into Saturday with the heaviest rain on Friday (6-8”totals in higher elevations). There will be a slight break on Saturday and then a second, smaller, event on Sunday (1-3” totals in higher elevations). The storm total prediction for most urban areas is 1.5 to 3”. This storm will be accompanied by strong winds, and potential for some localized flooding to occur in the lower areas prone to flooding.
SAND BAG FILLING STATIONS: Sand bag filling stations are available behind Fire Station 14 (342 Tamalpais Blvd.) and on Paradise Drive in the parking lot adjacent to the San Clemente Park / Cove School fields.
