The Town of Corte Madera will hold an Election on June 5, 2018.  At that time, the Town’s residents will have the opportunity to vote on their choices to fill three (3) upcoming vacancies on the Town Council.  The term of each vacancy is four (4) years. At this time, the following individuals are qualified candidates to run in the June 5, 2018 General Municipal Election:

Eli H. Beckman
David W. Kunhardt
Bob Ravasio
Valeria Sasser

The Town of Corte Madera is also submitting a 3/4-cent sales tax measure to the voters, which will appear on the ballot as Measure F. The measure, as proposed, would (1) eliminate the special drainage property tax ($98 per residential unit or per 1,000 commercial square feet) AND (2) extend the existing 1/2¢ sales tax at a 3/4¢ rate until ended by voters. The measure would provide $3,500,000 annually for unrestricted general revenue purposes (for example, flood/sea level rise/disaster preparedness, fire prevention, street repair, improved traffic flow, safety improvements, 911 response, and senior/youth programs) and would be subject to annual audits and a citizens’ oversight committee.
