[ARCHIVED] Coexisting with Coyotes

Coyote

CoyoteWe recently received messages from residents concerned about the frequency of coyote sightings in their neighborhoods. A follow-up community forum has been scheduled to discuss issues of mutual concern related to increased coyote sightings.

Please join us for an educational forum about coexisting with coyotes, highlighting the partnership between Project Coyote, Marin Humane, and Marin County Parks. These agencies came together and created the Marin Coyote Coalition to help coordinate the ways in which all of our local agencies respond to concerns about coyotes. One of the most important elements of this coalition has been educating residents about properly coexisting with coyotes.

The forum will be held on Wednesday, November 29th from 7:00PM - 9:00PM at the Central Marin Police Authority Community Room located at 250 Doherty Drive in Larkspur.

We will have a panel of experts available to answer questions and address your concerns. The panel includes:

Captain Cindy Machado, Director of animal Services with Marin Humane

David Herlocker, Interpretive Naturalist with Marin Open Space

Keli Hendricks, Project Coyote

John Krause, Wildlife Biologist for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife
