Thousands of families have been impacted by the wildfires that burned through entire communities in our neighboring counties. These fire victims are now having to face the reality that all they had worked for has been lost and the only option is to start all over again. The Town of Corte Madera, the Corte Madera Community Foundation, the Corte Madera Chamber of Commerce and the Petaluma Mother’s Club (PMC) have joined forces to establish “Corte Madera Cares”. This is an opportunity for Corte Madera residents and businesses to help meet the immediate needs of our neighbors to the north as they begin to recover and rebuild. Donations can be made by check, cash, credit card and gift cards and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to those most in need, allowing your generous contributions to have maximum impact in the affected communities.
Donations by check can be mailed to the Corte Madera Community Foundation at P.O. Box 7109 Corte Madera, CA 94976, or to Corte Madera Town Hall, located at 300 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera, CA 94925. Donors should make a note in the memo line of their check that the donation is for Corte Madera Cares and make the check payable to Corte Madera Community Foundation (tax ID# 68-0349076). Donations by credit card can be made through PayPal to the Corte Madera Community Foundation at cmcfoundation@comcast.net, with the designation for Corte Madera Cares shown on the donation screen.
If you are interested in displaying a collection jar at your place of business, please contact the Town Hall Administrative Office at 415-927-5050.
Donations of gift cards are encouraged and will be distributed through PMC directly to evacuees. Suggested gift cards include: major national department stores, gas stations, grocery stores. Gift cards can be mailed, or brought directly to, the Town Hall Administrative Office located at 300 Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera.
Contributions will be accepted through Friday, December 1, 2017.
"Corte Madera Cares" thanks you for your generosity.
