On Tuesday, 2/28/17 at 7:30pm, the Corte Madera Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review a proposed Design Review and Sign Permit application concerning the modification of the existing freestanding reader board sign in front of the Corte Madera Community Center. The proposal includes replacement of the existing sign panel with new LED sign panel while retaining the existing wooden frame and posts. The panel would be 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall, two-sided, full color, with messaging displayed in accordance with policies determined by the Parks and Recreation Commission. Proposed hours of operation would be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. The brightness of the sign could be controlled manually but would also be equipped with sensors, allowing automatic brightness adjustment based on time of day and ambient light.
A rendering of the modified signage is provided on page 2 of the public notice (see link below). If you have any questions about the information contained in this notice, please contact Senior Planner, Phil Boyle at (415) 927-5064.
The Planning Department recommends that this project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Categorical Exemption Class 1 (CEQA Article 19, Section 15301).
All persons interested in the foregoing are invited to appear before the Corte Madera Planning Commission at the time, day and place mentioned above. If you challenge this project in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this NOTICE, or in written correspondence delivered to the Town of Corte Madera at, or prior to, the public hearing.
