The project rehabilitated the sanitary sewer system in several neighborhoods which included the following roads: Sausalito Street, Oakdale Avenue, Manzanita Avenue, Eastman Avenue, Buena Vista Avenue, Montecito Drive, Tamal Vista Boulevard, and Council Crest Drive. The project improved efficiency and operational integrity of the sewer collection system, reducing inflow & infiltration (I&I), reducing Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) risk and reducing staff maintenance. Maggiora and Ghilotti (M&G) completed all the sewer replacement work on the project which includes:
- Replacing approximately 4,300 linear feet of 6” & 8” sewer main and 92 lower sewer laterals from the Private Sewer Lateral (PSL) pilot program at the Chapman Park neighborhood.
- Replacing 1,150 linear feet of 6” sewer main and 28 lower sewer laterals from the PSL pilot program on Montecito Drive.
- Replacing 2,300 linear feet of 6” & 8” sewer main and 31 lower sewer laterals from the PSL pilot program on Tamal Vista Boulevard and Council Crest Drive.
The project replaced a total of 7,450 linear feet of 6” & 8” pipes and 151 lower laterals.
