MEET THE WINNERS: Sarah Goody, Rob Snavely, and Pati Stoliar
ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR PROGRAM:
The Town of Corte Madera has many heroes within our community. Please help us by nominating a resident or group to consider for the 2020 Volunteer of the Year Award. 2020 is a unique year and an opportunity to showcase and celebrate positive impacts made to our community.
We all know a few amazing people checking in on neighbors, supporting families that need assistance obtaining essentials, sewing face coverings, or are providing support with yard maintenance or dog walking. Nominate a Corte Madera resident or group that has gone above and beyond to support individuals or the community at large.
Deadline to submit a 2020 nomination was Sept. 13 and awardees were selected at the Sept. 28 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting.
Traditionally the Parks and Recreation Commission selects a youth and senior winner(s) and honors them by riding in the Fourth of July Parade. Since the parade was cancelled and the Citizen of the Year award was suspended, the Parks and Recreation Department has delayed the application to September and accepted nominations for all ages.
