High Canal Bank Repair Project

The Town of Corte Madera completed the High Canal Bank Repair Project which installed a rock buttress wall along the High Canal Trail to stop bank erosion from undermining the trail. The project also installed a new quarry fine surface to the trail between Lakeside Drive and the Sandra Marker Trail and repaved the asphalt path between the Sandra Marker Trail and Redwood High School.

This project was a multi-year effort to repair the High Canal Trail which was quickly being eroded from the High Canal. The Town had to coordinate with several permitting agencies in order to work in the High Canal which are considered protected waters.
