Welcome to the Virtual Recreation & Resource Point! This is your place to see virtual & in-person Class & Program information as well as resources to keep you and your family entertained, active, and informed. Visit this page often for updates, we exist to support our community. 


The Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Department understands how difficult the isolation of sheltering in place has been for everyone. To help our community, we have worked diligently to find quality, highly engaging instructors to offer a variety of wonderful educational experiences.



Bartending Classes with Dr. Inkwell

Have you ever heard of a cocktail sommelier? Meet Dr Inkwell! With a mixture of history, science, simple recipes, and maybe a dash of bitters, Dr Inkwell makes bartending fun and accessible. You’ll learn basic bar skills, equipment how-to’s and a little more about why you like what you like.

Watercolor is FUN!

Learn about materials, technique, color theory, color mixing, color schemes, the importance of values, how to control watercolor washes on wet and dry paper, as well as the elements of design and composition. Instructor, Michael Friedland is an accomplished artist and teacher through the California Watercolor Association and the artists in residency program in Yosemite.


School Day Camp (full day)

Join Recreation staff for support with remote learning during school hours followed by 3 hours of technology-free fun to help participants unwind and socialize safely.

Time: 7:30am-6:00pm (10.5 hours)

$800*/ 3 weeks (less than $6 an hour & $100 sibling discount)

After-School Rec Camp (afternoon only)

Join Recreation Staff for interactive fun to unwind from distance learning. Activities including games, sports, art activities, and engineering!

Time: 2:00-6:00pm (4 hours)

$450*/ 3 weeks (Only $30 a day!)

Pro-rated program rate

We will charge based on our $7/hour rate to accommodate families with flexible hours. Set schedule must be finalized at the time of registration.

Skateboarding with Jeremy Boucher Grades 1-6 on Wednesdays

Skateboarding with Jeremy Boucher Grades 1-6 on Thursdays

Learn skateboarding fundamentals at Corte Madera Town Park. Jeremy Boucher is an experienced boarder and instructor ready to coach participants on correct stance, pushing, how to drop in on a ramp, kick turn, and Ollie, as well as skate park etiquette. Bring your own equipment.


Hip Hop w/ Just Dance Academy Grades 1-3

Hip Hop w/ Just Dance Academy Grades 4-8

Learn the fun and engaging style of hip-hop dance! Class begins with a warm-up, then combinations, and concludes with learning a dance that participants build onto every week. Class is held outdoors on the patio of the Corte Madera Community Center and students will be safely distanced! At the end of the 6-week session, the hip hop routine will be filmed and shared with parents.


Chess! Grades 1-5

Love chess? Learn more about this fascinating game and make new friends? Lanette Gordon is offering this Intermediate online joint chess class for Neil Cummins and Cove schools.

MagiKids Novice (For Beginners) Grades 1-3

Learn how to present a unique magic show. Additional class benefits include public speaking, performing, costuming, and just how to have fun while entertaining everyone.

MagiKids Apprentice (Intermediate – Advanced) Grades 2-6

This class will introduce magicians to the next level of expertise and techniques of magic. Students are encouraged to explore their repertoire and hone their sleight of hand techniques - and above all, have fun with their talent and skills. Performance, costuming, public speaking, jokes, presentation and approach are all part of the complete magician’s training.

Marin Girls Chorus After School Camp Grades 2-3 

Sing, move, clap, and play with Marin Girls Chorus. This is NOT just another Zoom Class; our adapted and expanded program will have your singer on the edge of and out of her seat! Participants will build confidence, community, and a strong sense of self through practice, performance, and friendships that last a lifetime.
