March 3, 2020 Municipal Election

12/20/19: The Town Council met at a Special Meeting on Thursday, December 19, 2019, and did not adopt a resolution to cancel the scheduled municipal election. Therefore, the March 3, 2020 Municipal Election will be held.

Nomination Filing Period:   The nomination filing period will open on Monday, November 11, 2019 and run through Friday December 6, 2019. However, Town offices will be closed on Monday, November 11th due to the Veteran's Day holiday.  Therefor, the filing period will open on Tuesday, November 12th at 8:00am and will run through 5:00pm on  Friday, December 6, 2019. Should one or more of the two incumbents with expiring terms decide not to file by the close of the filing deadline, the filing period will remain open through 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. 

Resolution No. 37/2019 was adopted by the Town Council at its September 17, 2019 Regular Town Council Meeting, and calls for a municipal election to be held in the Town of Corte Madera on March 3, 2020 for the election of two council members, requests that the Board of Supervisors consolidate the election with any other election occurring on said date, and requests election services by the Marin County Department of Elections.
