Corte Madera Bingo


Join our group of active older adults for BINGO every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Corte Madera Community Center. You’re sure to have fun! Come and enjoy wonderful company, delicious treats like Lappert’s ice cream, and other great perks and surprises.

Once a month representatives from local senior organizations will be on hand to answer questions regarding services they offer. Most guests will be on hand the second Thursday of each month. Topics will include things like how to prevent slip and falls, wheelchair and walker tune-ups and housing options.

Lunch Club for Seniors

Come have lunch with us! Every Thursday Good Earth Natural Foods prepares organic, well-balanced, hot lunch for adults, 60+. Enjoy a nice meal and conversation with friends! Details: Every Thursday (Except Holidays) from 11:45-12:45pm; Adults age 60+ $3 suggested donation. No older adult will be turned away for lack of funds. Funded in part by the Older Americans Act, administered locally by the Marin County Department of Health & Human Services, Aging and Adult Services.

Seniors in Balance

Seniors in Balance

This class will improve your balance, stability, and coordination through proven methods from Qigong, Tai Chi, and Western Mind/Body science. Research shows that Tai Chi is an excellent way for Seniors to develop balance and fluidity of movement; in this class you will be learning an easy, modified Tai Chi form. You will also practice brain stimulating techniques from Western Science to assist coordination and cognition. In addition, the Qigong movements and mind activity bring inner balance, relaxation, improved immunity, and overall wellbeing. These combined approaches are carefully orchestrated to work on all aspects of balance simultaneously. The class is appropriate for anyone with reasonable mobility who is motivated to maintain a good balance of spirit, mind  and body throughout their lives.
