The Town Council of the Town of Corte Madera hereby gives notice that a Town Council vacancy will occur effective April 30, 2021. At its February 16, 2021 regular meeting, the Corte Madera Town Council discussed the vacancy and directed staff to solicit applications from interested residents.
Applications are now being accepted to fill the remainder of the term, which is currently set to expire in June 2022. Council will be considering a move to November even-year elections, and if the Ordinance is adopted, this term would then expire in November 2022.
Registered voters who reside within Town limits are eligible to be considered for appointment. The appointee would also serve as a Board member on the Corte Madera Sanitary District No. 2 Board. The application form is available below in both Word and PDF formats.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, March 1, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
Completed applications may be delivered to the Town Manager at the Town Hall Administrative Office located at 300 Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Interviews, which will be held via a publicly accessible videoconference (meeting link to be available on agenda and Town website), are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 2021, beginning at 5:00 p.m. (Start time is subject to change and will be dependent upon the number of applicants interviewed). It is anticipated that an appointment will be made during the regular Town Council meeting that same evening.
