Website Accessibility
Click Here to Access the Accessibility Advisory Commission
This website has been converted to be as accessible as possible and to be compatible with the types of adaptive technology used by people with disabilities, including screen readers. We welcome your comments or suggestions.
Our Policy
Many Internet users with disabilities find websites difficult or even impossible to use simply because of the way they are designed. At the Town of Corte Madera we are working hard to provide services and products that are helpful to all our visitors, and this goes for our website, too.
Navigating This Website
To navigate through this website, please use the menus on the top and left hand sides of the page. If you are using a screen reader, there are links at the very beginning of each page with which you can skip to the content or the different menus. If you prefer to use your keyboard to navigate the site, please use the tab key to move from link to link.
Font Sizes
You may change the font size of this document to your preference through your browser. In Internet Explorer, select View, then Text Size, and then your preferred size. In Netscape select View, then Text Zoom, and then your preferred percentage size.
Stylesheets
You may import your own stylesheet into this website.
In Explorer select Tools, then Internet options, and then Accessibility. Next click on any or all of 3 checkboxes to ignore colours, font styles or font sizes. In the same window you can change your style sheet by clicking the checkbox that says, 'format document using my style sheet' then simply browse to your style sheet and click ok.
In Netscape select edit, then preferences and then appearance. You will then be given the choice to specify your own colors and fonts.
Feedback
We have tested this website thoroughly but are always keen to improve our coding and would like to know if you have found this document accessible or if you have had any problems. Please register your problems or suggestions with us through our Town Hall Access link or contact the Accessibility Advisory Commission.
Older Browsers & Cascading Style Sheets
This site uses cascading style sheets. Early versions of Netscape (4.x and earlier) and Internet Explorer (3.x and earlier) do not support this feature, so elements such as links may display differently. If you are experiencing this, you may wish to disable style sheets. You can do this through your browser. In Explorer (5.50), choose Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, Accessibility, and check the "Format documents using my style sheet" feature. In Netscape (4.75), choose Edit, Preferences, Advanced, and turn off the "Enable Style Sheets" feature.
