2023 Madera Gardens Storm and Sewer Rehabilitation Project

This project will assess the existing storm drain and sanitary sewer systems in Madera Gardens to find any issues with the existing infrastructure which will be repaired in the rehabilitation project.

The sanitary sewer repairs will improve efficiency and operational integrity of the sewer collection system, reduce inflow & infiltration (I&I), reduce Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) risk, and reduce the need for frequent staff maintenance on the sewer system. The existing sewer mains consists of vitrified clay pipe (VCP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and asbestos cement (AC) pipes some of which date back to the original development of the neighborhood.

The storm drain system will be assessed to make sure all pipes and drainage structures are functioning per their design and any damaged pipe will be replaced.

The project will include the following roads:

  • Lakeside Drive
  • Mohawk Avenue
  • Seminole Avenue
  • Monona Drive
  • Hickory Avenue
  • Birch Avenue
  • Ash Avenue
  • Walnut Avenue
  • Blue Rock Court
  • Chickasaw Court
  • Arrowhead Lane
  • Mohave Court
  • Cheyenne Way
  • Navajo Lane
  • Apache Road

Please be aware that our design consultant is currently working in the field and having the existing sewer and storm systems videoed. You may encounter some minor work with traffic control in the next few months.

Schedule: The project has recently begun the design phase which should be completed by July. Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2023.
