Daria Carrillo - Director of Finance

Daria Balano Carrillo has been employed by the Town of Corte Madera since April 2017.  Prior to working for Corte Madera, Daria was the Finance and Administrative Services Director for the Town of San Anselmo for seven years.  Before working in local government, Daria spent nine years working in public school finance in Marin County, including positions at Marin County Office of Education and Ross Elementary School District.

Daria was raised in Marin County and is a graduate of San Domenico in San Anselmo.   She also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sonoma State University, a Juris Doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Certificate in School Business Management from University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education.

About the Finance Department

The Finance Department accounts for the collection and disbursement of all monies; invests funds; provides numerous financial statements and reports on financial position; performs budgetary management; administers the position classification plan, job descriptions and associated salary plan; administers the employee compensation and benefit programs; administers the business license ordinance; assists the Town Manager in risk management and other general administrative functions.
