What kind of activities do you do?
We have a wide variety of activities that include but are not limited to Arts, Sports, Outdoor play, Board games, Cooking projects, Science experiments and Homework.
Do children have to or are they required to do an activity?
Each child has the option to pick and choose what activity he or she would like to do. If a child wishes, he or she is more than welcome to start up a game with friends or just sit and enjoy a book. We believe that children are busy most of the day and like everyone, need some time to relax and enjoy the park.
Do you walk children to and from after school activities like Chess Class or Lego Classes ?
How do the children get to the Community Center from Neil Cummins School?
Kindergartners are picked up from their classrooms and walked to Kids Club. First through fourth graders are picked up from the lunch table area directly after school and then walked to Kids Club.
Can you bring toys or MP3 players etc., to Kids Club?
Yes. However, please note that Kids Club is not responsible for loss or damage to property.
Is there a snack time?
Snack is provided between 3:30-4:00pm everyday. If your child is on a special diet, please pack an extra snack and juice with his or her lunch. If your child has an extra snack, he or she is more than welcome to eat it anytime throughout the day.
You can put your mind at ease knowing your child is being cared for by experienced well qualified caregivers. We pride ourselves in instilling core values while we care for your child. All staff are CPR and first aid certified.

Meet Kid’s Club Counselor Alex. Alex is a first year Kid’s Club staffer and a second year Summer Playground staffer. Alex herself grew up in afterschool programs and camps like ours. Alex started volunteering with afterschool programs and activities at the early age of eleven, inspired by counselors she looked up to as a child. Her first year working with Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Summer Playground solidified her decision to make a career out of working with children. We believe that Alex is an inspiration for children, to know that interactions and positive time spent with childcare professionals can encourage and blossom a love for all things at an early age. Alex says she strives to be a person in a child’s life that makes them feel safe and wanted in programs like ours.

He absolutely believes “You learn even more by teaching “ a quote by Paulo Coelho, Francisco also believes in the importance of being a good role-model for kids and that by teaching the little things we can contribute to their knowledge as well as our own.
Meet Kid’s Club Counselor Edhai. Edhai is a first year Kid’s Club staffer and a first year Summer Playground staffer with Corte Madera Parks & Recreation. But Edhai is no stranger to either program as he himself was a camper at both Kid’s Club and Summer Playground. Corte Madera Parks & Recreations encouragements to keep kids in our programs actively involved with our community really works and pays off as Edhai has returned to the very programs that he was in such a long time ago. Edhai hopes to encourage critical thinking and motor skills through activities like building and gaming that teach the fundamentals of planning, organizational skills, and trial and error. He remembers his years at Kid’s Club and Summer Playground fondly and wants to recreate some of the same joys and fun that he experienced through our programs. Edhai says his main focus when working with kids is to create a safe environment where kids can just be themselves and not worry about what others think, and to have the freedom to explore their interests.
